The Composition
How Rumé Veil was made.
Rumé Veil opens with a single crushed violet leaf — green, cool, almost metallic — before the composition drifts into powder.
At its heart, Iris Pallida from Tuscany. Three years in the ground, ten months drying, then finally macerated into an accord that carries the fragrance's suede-like character.
The base is ambrette seed and cashmere musk over pale, blonde woods. It doesn't sit on the skin so much as hover just above it.
